These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the TummyTally mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The App

TummyTally helps you log food and track calories and macros. The App is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

2. Not medical advice

TummyTally is a general wellness and informational tool. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional healthcare. Nutrition values and AI-generated results may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your diet or health, especially if you have a medical condition. You use the App at your own risk.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

4. Subscriptions & purchases

Premium features may be offered as auto-renewing subscriptions sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Payments, refunds, and billing are handled by the relevant app store under its own terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including not to reverse engineer it (except as permitted by law), interfere with its operation, or use it to violate any law or third-party rights.

6. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, branding and content (excluding your own data), is owned by TummyTally and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended purpose.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TummyTally is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or health outcomes arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer law applies to you.
